“Donald Trump calling himself ‘a great environmentalist’ is like an arsonist calling himself Smokey Bear. The climate crisis is not coming: it is here now. And it has been made exponentially worse by the policies of Donald Trump. 

“Let’s be 100% clear on this, Donald Trump is a climate denier, a climate disaster--and by far the worst President when it comes to the environment in modern history. And his appearance yesterday in Florida was nothing but a sad, desperate and dishonest attempt to secure Florida swing voters. The truth, something Donald Trump would not know if it hit him over the head, is that it was Trump who proposed opening Florida to drilling shortly after taking office. Florida voters won't be fooled by this pathetic political stunt. 

“California is on fire. Hurricanes are stronger and more frequent than ever. The Midwest continues to be hit by historic flooding. We are in a climate crisis. And only one candidate understands this. Joe Biden has made tackling the climate crisis a centerpiece of his campaign and rolled out an assertive and ambitious plan to turn around years of devastation to our planet. Climate is on the ballot this year. And the choice could not be more clear.”
