DNC Council on Environment and Climate Crisis Responds to President Biden’s State of the Union Address

Statement from Michelle Deatrick, Chair of the DNC Council on the Environment and Climate Crisis:

“President Biden and Democrats in Congress made the largest ever investment in fighting the climate crisis in the history of the world. What the nation saw last night was an environmental champion standing on the world stage acknowledging the climate crisis and its impacts and challenging Congress to do more. It is the exact kind of leadership we need in this moment. The climate crisis is not coming, it is here now. And we all must double down on our efforts to combat it. The President made that crystal clear in his State of the Union address.”
