DNC Climate Council to Host Climate Town Hall: Urgency, Awareness, and Literacy

To Hold A Town Hall On The Urgent Need To Act On Climate Change

Thursday at 7:00 P.M ET, Academy Award-winning actor Jane Fonda, DNC Chair Jaime Harrison, American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten, Sierra Club President Ramón Cruz and DNC Council on the Environment and Climate Crisis Chair Michelle Deatrick will host a virtual town hall on the urgent need for Washington to take action on the climate crisis. 

The event will take place on Youtube and Facebook. 

The first-ever DNC Environment and Climate Crisis Council was started just over a year ago and  is working to help pass President Biden’s climate agenda and to push Washington to take bold, ambitious action addressing the climate crisis and other environmental issues. 

During the event, the speakers will discuss the current state of the Biden Administration’s environmental policies and actions needed to address the climate crisis and environmental injustice urgently.
