Include Bold Climate Action in the 2024 Budget

President Biden has put forward a bold budget that meets the moment when it comes to addressing the climate crisis. Congress has passed historic legislation tackling the climate crisis, making major steps forward, but more must be done to achieve the goal of a 50% or more reduction in fossil fuel pollution by 2030. Crucially, the President's budget has nearly $45 billion to meet the scale of the climate crisis:

• invests $4 billion in infrastructure for clean, safe water;

• slashes fossil fuel subsidies;

• provides nearly $4 billion for parks and green space;

• saves working families money on energy and water with tax credits for weatherizing, solar tax credits, efficient and clean energy appliances;

• promotes environmental justice;

• more than doubles the EPA budget for Superfund clean up;

• and much more.

Write to your Congressional leaders and tell them to include these vital measures in the budget.
