Make Calls for Climate Champs Running for Arizona Public Utility Board
March 25 | 4:00 - 6:00pm PT
Make calls with Council Chair Michelle Deatrick to turn out the vote for clean, affordable energy champions who are running for election on Arizona’s Salt River Board. The Board governs one of America’s biggest publicly-owned utilities. RSVP here.
Very few people have heard of this election, despite its huge stakes for climate. For the first time, voters have the opportunity to elect a Board majority that supports building out renewable energy, keeping rates affordable, and making data centers pay their fair share.
We’re facing Turning Point USA, who is pouring in money to take over the Board with pro-fossil fuel MAGA candidates that want to roll back climate progress and subsidize data center growth.
The Council is excited to co-host this event with Lead Locally, Jane Fonda Climate PAC, and Third Act’s GrayPAC.
Join us: Together we will be making calls to register and turn out the vote.
Workshop. Bioneers Convention. Berkeley California
March 26 | 4:45pm - 6:00 pm PT
At the March 26-28 Bioneers Conference, Chair Deatrick will lead an interactive workshop, sharing her experience as an activist, organizer and policy advocate with youth seeking guidance and pathways to environmental activism and how to work to create a livable future.
Register here.

More speaker announcements to come!
We are delighted that the Young Democrats of America’s Environmental Caucus is co-hosting. Members of the environmental community and all Democrats are warmly welcomed to join us.
